Manchester United could yet wrap up the signing of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat ahead of the summer transfer deadline.
Erik ten Hag has made four signings this window with the acquisition of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and most recently Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, who completed his move on deadline day.
United have been hit with injuries in a couple of areas of their squad and the Old Trafford side could yet act to plug the gaps before Friday's 11pm deadline.

Midfield is one of those areas, with the departure of Fred to Fenerbache and a recent injury to Mount has reduced bodies in that part of the squad for the Reds.
Amrabat has been frequently mentioned as a potential incoming at Old Trafford this summer to help aid United’s midfield shortcomings and numerous reports have suggested that the Morocco international is intent on moving to Ten Hag’s side.
But the midfielder, who was part of the Morocco squad which reached the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar last year, has been linked with plenty of other clubs in recent months - but in all situations either he or his club Fiorentina have put the blocks on any other potential switch.

In July, according to Corriere della Sera, Liverpool came forward for Amrabat’s services but the midfielder turned down the prospect of a move to Anfield.
Also in July, the midfielder was reportedly on a list of potential acquisitions for Bayern Munich, but there was “nothing concrete” in that interest at that time according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
Back in January, Catalan giants Barcelona made an approach for the Morocco international, but Fiorentina rejected the advances.
Despite plenty of players heading to Saudi Arabia this summer, Amrabat appeared not to be keen to join them, as talkSPORT reported that Al Ahli were keen on the midfielder, but he was prepared to snub that interest due to wanting to head to Old Trafford.

As well as United wanting to take the midfielder on loan, Turkish side Galatasaray are said to have approached Amrabat, but this was not successful according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio.
According to Sport Italia, an approach from fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest for the midfielder, but the 27-year-old instantly turned down the prospect of a switch to the City Ground.
And another late approach from the English top flight, this time from Fulham, has also been turned down by Amrabat, again as per Sky Germany’s Plettenberg.
Whether Amrabat is donning a red shirt by 11pm this evening, though, only time will tell.
