Erik ten Hag has reportedly refused to allow Tom Heaton to leave Manchester United amid concerns surrounding David de Gea's future.
The decision comes days after United made a dramatic U-turn on De Gea's contract, with his contract due to expire on Friday.
According to The Athletic, 32-year-old had already agreed reduced terms with United but the club have since backed out of a deal.

United then offered him a new proposal with further reduced terms, which the Spaniard is yet to agree to, sparking mass speculation around his future.
And that has had a knock-on affect on Heaton's plans, with Ten Hag now reluctant to let his stand-in keeper leave Old Trafford.

According to The Telegraph, Ten Hag has blocked Heaton's proposed switch to newly-promoted Luton as a result of the De Gea transfer saga.
Heaton played just two Carabao Cup matches last season, and had asked to leave the club to play more regularly next season.
Having rejoined his boyhood club in 2021, Heaton was expected to leave this summer, and emerged as Luton manager Rob Edwards' first-choice goalkeeping target. But the Red Devils have instead activated their option of extending his contract until 2024.
Responding to the situation on social media, De Gea posted a yawning emoji on Twitter on Wednesday, suggesting he is getting bored of the speculation surrounding him.

However, he is running out of time to reach an agreement over a new contract, with Saudi Arabia tipped as his next destination.
