Micah Richards made one last joke about Brest after they were knocked out of the Champions League by fellow Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender appeared on CBS Sports' live coverage of the Champions League on Wednesday night alongside Kate Scott, Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher.
Here, he brought up his long-standing admiration for Stade Brestois 29, commonly known as Brest.

In the past few weeks, Richards has "single-handedly put Brest on the map" in Europe's elite competition, according to CBS host Scott, who recently handed the former England international a gift from the French club.
After reading out a note that was attached to the present, the presenter then passed over a red Brest home shirt to Henry and Richards, with the latter’s featuring the words ‘Brest lover’ and the number two.
Carragher then joked that he’s “never been able to get his hands on Brest” as the punditry team burst into laughter.

A few weeks later and Eric Roy's side were knocked out of the Champions League as Paris Saint-Germain became the first team to have seven different scorers in a UCL match.
After the full-time whistle, Scott made a comment about their exit. "Sad though, Micah," she said, before adding: "No more Brest this year."
Richards replied: "Speak for yourself Kate" – a comment that brought a quick response from the presenter. "I will speak for myself. I can definitely assure you," she laughed. "That's a lifetime choice."
Here's how fans on social media reacted to the scenes.

A third wrote: "There is nothing remotely funny about this “joke” everyone just laughing for the sake of a piss poor one liner."
A fourth said: "What a way to end the run," and a fifth added: "The worst thing about the elimination of Brest is that we have lost Micah Richards' puns on the subject forever."
