Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the transfer of Mathys Tel after claims he has reached an agreement with a Premier League club.
Bayern Munich are prepared to sanction the sale of Tel, who has attracted plenty of interest from the Premier League.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester United have all expressed an interest in acquiring his services ahead of next Monday's deadline.
But, according to according to L'Equipe, Tottenham lead the race to sign Tel, having reached an agreement with Bayern.

Romano has since provided an update on the 19-year-old's potential move to Spurs by revealing their project.
The transfer expert states the North London outfit have presented game time as a key factor in the move.
On X, he wrote: "Tottenham have presented their project to Mathys Tel and his agent with game time as key factor.
"Spurs also had direct meeting with Bayern to guarantee €60m fee in case Tel decides to accept.

"Mathys needs some time to decide... with several clubs keen and in talks."
Speaking after Spurs' 3-0 victory over Elfsborg in the Europa League on Thursday, Ange Postecoglou was asked about his side's pursuit of Tel.
"I can't tell you anything about Tel," he said in his post-match press conference. "I've been focusing on getting the team prepared tonight.

"Other people are working in the background. As I've said all along, I'm allowing them to get on with it and when, and if, there's any news I'm sure I'll find out."
Tel, who joined Bayern from Rennes in the summer of 2022, has scored 16 goals across all competitions since signing for the German giants.
If the forward completes his transfer to Spurs, then it'd be the club's second signing of the January transfer window following the capture of Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague. He joined in a deal worth £12.5 million.
