A Premier League club has reached an agreement to sign Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel during the January transfer window, it has been reported.
Tel informed Bayern earlier this month that he wanted to leave the club in search of first team football.
The Frenchman, 19, has made just eight Bundesliga appearances this season under Vincent Kompany.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United were all credited with an interest in the forward, as well as Aston Villa once it became likely that Jhon Duran would leave Villa Park to sign for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
Now, according to L'Equipe's Loic Tanzi, Tottenham have raced into the driving seat to sign Tel as they have reached an agreement with Bayern over a move.
Spurs have reportedly agreed a €60 million fee with Bayern to sign Tel on a permanent basis this month. However, the forward has yet to make a decision over his future.

The willingness of another Premier League club to bid a fee will put United on the back foot, as David Ornstein of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that the Red Devils would only target Tel if he was made available for loan.
Sky Sports have since claimed that Spurs have been in negotiations with Bayern since Thursday morning, concluding in a 'verbal agreement' between the two clubs.
After Bayern's 3-1 win over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, Tel gave little away on his future when asked by reporters if he had played his last game for the club, simply stating: "I don't know."
Tel's childhood hero, meanwhile, is Arsenal legend and compatriot Thierry Henry.

The 19-year-old almost had the opportunity to play under Henry for the France Olympic side last summer but Bayern withdrew him from selection - despite the club reaching an agreement with the France Football Federation to allow him to play, Henry claimed.
