Mathys Tel appeared to drop a hint over the Premier League club he would sign for when naming his childhood idol.
Tel has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with a move away from Bayern Munich mooted ahead of next Monday's deadline day.
Bayern are ready to sanction a loan deal with a number of English clubs keeping tabs on his situation.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are among the Premier League sides monitoring Tel ahead of transfer deadline day.
Chelsea have concrete interest in Tel but it seems that the forward needs to be persuaded to move to Stamford Bridge.
Spurs have registered their interest in the 19-year-old, too, but it remains to be seen if they can pull off a deal.

Man United and Arsenal are also thought to be keen on signing Tel in the coming days.
But a transfer to the Emirates could be Tel's preferred move considering he grew up idolising Thierry Henry.
He was likened to Henry when he burst onto the scene, boasting similar traits to the Gunners legend.
The French icon enjoyed a stunning career at Arsenal, scoring an impressive 228 goals during his two stints at the club.

In 2023, Henry showered his fellow countryman with high praise and called his goal-scoring exploits 'exceptional'.
"I think you've been following what he's been doing. Being involved in eight goals while not having started any games except one in the cup is exceptional." he explained.
"It's not easy to start games at Bayern, but also not easy to be subbed on before other big players like Thomas Muller.
"Mathys often comes in before him (Muller) and makes the difference in the few minutes he's getting."

Tel joined Bayern from Rennes for £24 million in the summer of 2022.
He has scored 16 goals for the German giants, having come off the bench for most of his appearances.
He's only played 13 games across all competitions this season and has yet to open his goal account.
