Manchester United legend Roy Keane has questioned Erik ten Hag’s decision to sign Mason Mount.
According to The Telegraph United have agreed personal terms with Mount and are likely to sign the Chelsea midfielder ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal.
Though a transfer fee has not yet been agreed, United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly confident Mount will make the Old Trafford switch, with the Dutchman pushing the club hierarchy to get the deal over the line.

It has been claimed that talks progressed after United and Chelsea met last Thursday, and personal terms with Mount have already been agreed.
The Chelsea academy graduate, who only has a year left on his current deal, is also being targeted by the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Keane added that he is more encouraged by talk United are attempting to sign Harry Kane.
Indeed, the Telegraph claim Ten Hag regards Mount as one of two key signings in the forthcoming transfer window and will play him as a No 8. The other player the Dutchman wants to desperately get over the line is Tottenham Hotspur’s Kane.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Keane said: "I wouldn’t be so sure about Mount. He’s gone off the boil a little bit.
“I know he can bounce back and he’s got qualities, I was raving about him a few years ago but he’s just gone missing this last year or two, again, one or two injuries, the fact he can’t get in a bad Chelsea team.

"They’ve been linked with lots of players but the one who would excite you is Kane.
“I think Rice would be a decent signing. But in terms of the excitement and a goalscorer, you’d go all in for Kane but can you see Spurs selling to Man United? Very, very difficult."
