Liverpool may have signed Arthur Melo from Juventus on transfer deadline day, but they still might bring in another high-quality midfielder in January.
And the latest man on the club’s radar is PSV powerhouse Ibrahim Sangare.
Sangare has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Netherlands since joining PSV in January 2021.

And at only 24 years of age, a big move surely awaits him in the near future.
As per Calcio Mercato (Via Caught Offside) , both Liverpool and West Ham United are believed to be keeping tabs on the Ivorian’s development.
Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with the player in the past too.
For Liverpool, signing a player of Sangare’s profile must be viewed as a priority heading into future transfer windows.

Reds fans are well aware that their midfield needs a revamp with the likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner, and Thiago Alcantara now the wrong side of 30.
That’s not to say there aren’t already players at Liverpool who can play a role in the potential midfield revamp.
The likes of Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho have shown promise this season, but at 19 and 20 respectively, they’re not quite ready to hold the fort on their own quite yet.
Thus, Sangare’s age profile will be an attractive one to Liverpool. He has the necessary experience to play alongside some of the Reds’ engine room youngsters.

The PSV star's versatility in the middle of the park is also a very attractive asset of this.
He primarily operates at the base of a midfield three for the Dutch side but can also do a job as more of an advanced #8 either side of a deep-lying player.
Sangare would therefore also be able to play alongside current first choice defensive midfielder Fabinho, who is still only 28, if he were to join Liverpool in January.
Whether Liverpool’s pursuit of Sangare will impact their long-term courting of Jude Bellingham will be of interest to Reds fans.

Liverpool are known to hold significant admiration for Bellingham, but rumours on that front have gone a bit quiet in recent weeks.
