Arne Slot could reportedly be faced with a major transfer decision as soon as he walks through the doors as Liverpool’s new manager.
Back in January, the world of football was shocked by the announcement that Jurgen Klopp will be leaving Anfield when the 23/24 season comes to a close.
After months of speculation, it was widely reported last month that Feyenoord boss Slot will take over from the German in the summer.
Slot has built up a reputation in the Netherlands after impressing at both AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord.

Looking ahead to his arrival at Liverpool, the Dutchman could be handed a big decision straight away.
As reported by Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, La Liga giants Barcelona have made Liverpool winger Luis Diaz as one of their primary targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Diaz’s contract with Liverpool doesn’t expire until 2027 so the Reds are in a strong position as they do not need to sell.
However, if the player wants out, Slot will have to make a decision.

Speaking recently about his future, Diaz said: “I have grown a lot. From the beginning of my career to today, I feel that with the passage of days, of years, living each experience in each different team, coming to this great club that is Liverpool, leaves you with a lot of learnings.
“You learn more and more to be a professional, to be a better person, to be a good teammate and a good guy. The truth is that I am very happy to be here. Great years are coming for the club, I have no doubt about that.”
He added: “Personally, I will always try to do my best, always try to give 100 per cent, to always stand out on the field, which is what I came [here] to do. I’m always grateful to God for every opportunity.”

In the 23/24 season, Diaz has managed 13 goals and five assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.
The Colombian joined the Anfield club back in January of 2022 from Portuguese side FC Porto, in a deal worth a reported fee of £37.5 million.
