Goalkeeper Andre Onana is set to be dropped by Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
Man Utd drew 2-2 against Lyon in their Europa League quarter-final first leg and Onana was at fault for both Lyon's opening goal and their late equaliser.
Onana's latest shambolic contribution arrived hot on the heels of his war of words with former Red Devils midfielder Nemanja Matic, who labelled him "one of the worst goalkeepers of Man Utd history" after the Cameroonian had expressed his confidence that Amorim's team are "way better" than their Europa League opponents.

The goalkeeper flapped at Thiago Almada's free kick with less than half an hour played of the first leg, diverting it into the roof of his net to put United at an avoidable disadvantage.
With United 2-1 up in stoppage time, Rayan Cherki pounced to punish Onana's poor handing of a shot from Georges Mikautadze to level the tie at the half-way point.
According to reporting by the Daily Mail, Amorim "is considering taking Andre Onana out of the firing line for Manchester United's trip to Newcastle on Sunday with Altay Bayindir on stand-by to play at St James' Park."

Red Devils number two Altay hasn't played since the end of January, when he followed his penalty shoot-out heroics against Arsenal in the FA Cup by playing in Man Utd's last two Europa League group stage matches.
"Mail Sport understands that Amorim is set to make a number of changes for the visit to Tyneside," continues the report.

Striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has also been subject to extensive criticism this season but tucked away a confident header to put Man Utd ahead at Lyon on Thursday, revealed that under-fire first choice goalkeeper Onana has the support of the dressing room as well as Amorim.

"One hundred per cent," Zirkzee told the media. 'We're one team, so we're not going to take someone out for making mistakes. That's ridiculous."
Man Utd travel on Sunday in 13th place in the Premier League desperate to close the gap on Brentford and Crystal Palace above them.
With seven matches remaining, lingering hopes of a top-half finish are fading at the end of a thoroughly disappointing season.
Onana has been ever-present in the Premier League so far in 2024-25.
