Esteemed journalist Fabrizio Romano has given a fresh update on the future of Liverpool star Roberto Firmino, amid claims that he could leave the club.
The Brazilian has been in fine form for the Reds this season, scoring six goals in nine Premier League appearances. He has also provided three assists.
In the Champions League, Firmino has two goals and an assist from four games.
He has shared playing time with Darwin Nunez at certain points this season. However, both players started Liverpool's 1-0 win over West Ham on Wednesday, with Nunez scoring the winning goal.

Firmino is out of contract at the end of the season. The 31-year-old has spent over seven years at Anfield since signing from Hoffenheim in 2015.
That has led to reports that other European clubs are keen on luring Firmino away from Merseyside. Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus have both been linked with the forward.

Speaking as part of his CaughtOffside column, Romano has given an update that will calm down Liverpool fans concerned about a possible exit - at least for the moment.

He explained: "At the moment, there are no talks between AC Milan/Juventus and Roberto Firmino, despite reports.
"Firmino is still regarded as an important player at Liverpool, and a decision will be made in 2023."
Jurgen Klopp was asked about Firmino's future back in July, prior to the Reds' Community Shield clash with Manchester City. The German was full of praise for one of his star players.

"Bobby is crucial for us," Klopp said (quotes via The Guardian). "The heart and soul of this team. The way we played in the last years was only possible because of Bobby.
"That's why I'm really happy he was able to train for the majority of the time here in pre-season so far. Everything looks really good, so I am absolutely fine.
"There is no doubt about Bobby's quality. All the rest, we will see how this year goes, but he is essential for us."
