Kylian Mbappe’s mum has hinted that the 23-year-old will move to Liverpool, according to fans on Twitter.
Despite a quiet quarter-final performance against England, Mbappe has arguably been the outstanding player at the World Cup, having netted five goals in as many games in Qatar.
Naturally, the Paris Saint-Germain star, who is widely regarded as the world's best player, has attracted interest from the continent’s biggest clubs in the past.

Indeed, amid reports Mbappe wanted to depart PSG in October, Spanish publication Marca claimed Liverpool were interested, with the Reds said to be one of Mbappe’s “only feasible options”.
Earlier this year, the France international also admitted he had held talks with Liverpool over a possible transfer in 2017.

The picture sparked a barrage of tongue-in-cheek tweets from Reds fans insisting Lamari was trying to influence Mbappe to move to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, TheLegendLFC tagged Mbappe and tweeted: “See your mum wants you to come to Liverpool!”

Mbappe’s mum a Red?
Lamari, who has been cheering on her son in Qatar, has long been an admirer of Liverpool.
While admitting he once held talks with the Reds, Mbappe told the Telegraph earlier this year: "We talked a little bit, but not too much. We talked a little bit. I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don’t know why you will have to ask her!
