Kylian Mbappe showed his footballing intelligence when it came to selecting his 'ideal footballer'.
One could have understood the 25-year-old for picking himself given what he has achieved in the game - winning the World Cup and scoring a hat-trick in a second final - as well as making history by becoming Paris Saint-Germain's all-time top scorer.
But when Mbappe was asked by ESPN to identify the best traits and qualities of some of the best players in the word, he humbly omitted himself.
With no defensive player featuring aside from a goalkeeper, Mbappe included former teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar as well as hailing idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I would choose Messi's left foot, Neymar's right foot, Cristiano's mentality and Buffon's class," Mbappe said.
"Which Mbappe's part? There's no need, it's good just like this!"
Mbappe had posters on his wall of Ronaldo and though he never got the chance to play alongside him, he will be following in the footsteps of his hero in pulling on the iconic white shirt of Real Madrid.
The France international played for Los Blancos as a youngster when he was invited to train with the Under 12's side.

Even while at boyhood club PSG, Mbappe always felt like a Real player and after a move broke down a couple of times, he will now join the 15-time European champions on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at the Parc des Princes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe made his decision in February and now every form of paperwork has been signed.
Real are expected to officially announce the signing next week before the Euro 2024 tournament begins in Germany.

He is poised to earn a mammoth £86 million signing-on fee for putting pen to paper at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he will be unveiled in July.
