Dominik Szoboszlai’s signing could help Darwin Nunez kick-start his Liverpool career.
On Sunday Liverpool announced the signing of Szoboszlai from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig for £60million on a five-year deal.
The Reds triggered the Hungary international’s release clause to make him their second major signing of the summer after the £35million acquisition of Alexis Mac Allister.

"It's a really historic club, really good players, good coach," Szoboszlai told the club website.
"For me, it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good."
Szoboszlai arrives from Leipzig, for whom he made 31 Bundesliga appearances last season, scoring six goals and registering eight assists.
And the signing could help unlock Nunez’s potential, with the Uruguay international having had a mixed time in his debut season at Anfield.

In a topsy-turvy first season at Anfield, Nunez still managed 15 goals in 26 starts.
And according to This Is Anfield, there is a feeling within the club that it won’t take much before Nunez starts scoring at the same rate he managed in his final season at Benfica when he netted 34 goals in 41 appearances.
Szoboszlai’s signing could help in that endeavour. If Trent Alexander-Arnold is to continue playing in midfield, Nunez could suddenly find himself with three of four creative players behind him, capable of finding his runs.
Nunez already struck up a partnership with Alexander-Arnold in the latter part of last season, and it is possible Szoboszlai will also suit the 24-year-old’s game.

Indeed, This Is Anfield claims that a large part of the Hungarian’s appeal was his ability to play through balls and whipped crosses from the half space on the right. These are two areas Nunez thrives in when on form.
