Ruben Amorim left 'stunned' by one thing in his first Man Utd sessions and it's a massive concern for fans

A report reveals the details of Ruben Amorim''s first Manchester United training sessions.

Ruben Amorim has been left 'stunned' by ONE thing after the first training sessions with Manchester United, according to a report.

This week, Amorim took charge of his first Man United training session following his appointment as fans went into meltdown after footage of it emerged.

Supporters on social media were also excited after the 39-year-old was seen 'working closely' with a star player.

But one aspect of training has 'stunned' Amorim.

According to The Sun, Amorim believes the squad is 'bloated' and has already pinpointed a 'number of individuals' who he does not believe will fit into his 3-4-3 high-energy formation.

The Man United players have been put their paces at Carrington ahead of the club resuming their campaign this weekend.

But he could not believe the 'lack of speed and intensity'.

Per the report, he was constantly having to tell his players to 'pick up the pace'.

The coaching staff are drilling players and getting them to watch demonstrations of Amorim's style of play to get them up to speed for his first game against Ipswich on Sunday.

Amorim signed off his managerial spell with Sporting with a few big wins, including a famous victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the Champions League.

Speaking after the game, he issued a warning to Man United, claiming they cannot play the way Sporting do.

"We cannot transport one reality to another," he said via The Guardian. "United cannot play the way we play, they cannot be so defensive. Of course it’s good to beat City. But I’ll be living in a different world, we’ll have to start from a different point."

Amorim has a huge job on his hands with Man United languishing in 13th place in the Premier League table, having had a miserable start to the new season.

But they won their last league game, beating Leicester City 3-0 under Ruud van Nistelrooy before his Old Trafford departure.
