Liverpool fans have been left extremely worried about the future of a first-team player despite the win over Brighton.
The Reds progressed to the quarter final of the Carabao Cup courtesy of a 3-2 win at the AMEX, with Cody Gakpo bagging a brace and Luis Diaz on target.
Liverpool will have another trip to the South Coast in the next round when they travel to Southampton on 17 December as they look to continue their defence of the trophy they claimed last year under Jurgen Klopp.

Arne Slot is already having a huge impact on the squad, with the team progressing well and currently just a point behind Manchester City in the Premier League following the 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
But Liverpool supporters have expressed concern over one player coming out of the Brighton win. Centre-back Jarell Quansah made a rare start after spending an extensive period on the bench, playing 92 minutes before being replaced by Ibrahima Konate late on.
Quansah started Slot's first game against Ipswich but was hauled off at half-time and struggled to work his way back in since.

The Carabao Cup has allowed the 21-year-old to get some much-needed game-time, yet plenty of fans are not sold on him after his latest display - feeling as though he might not be at the required level.
Quansah gave the ball away cheaply for Brighton's first goal and was unlucky to deflect their second in past Vitezslav Jaros before Slot took him off.
One fan wrote: "Quansah, man. I rate him very highly but he’s been making one too many mistakes."

A second said: "Jarell Quansah… we’re gonna need to start a dialogue after this one."
A third added: "You do feel for him but in these games it’s where has to ultimately show he’s good enough for the new manager. And so far it could be a long way back."
A fourth commented: "He'll never got a start under Arne Slot again in the Premier League."
A fifth user opined: "He refused to learn from his past mistakes and Slot did very well by bringing him out. He will remain on the bench unless Konate is injured."

Quansah made his debut for Liverpool against Newcastle in August 2023 and signed a new long-term contract with the club last month.
