Former Liverpool captain and current Ajax midfielder Jordan Henderson revealed he was “ready to kill” one of his colleagues.
Henderson, 34, captained Liverpool during a trophy-laden era under Jurgen Klopp but was signed from Sunderland by Kenny Dalglish in the summer of 2011.
The England international went on to make 492 appearances during his 12-year stay on Merseyside before he controversially moved to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq - linking up with then-manager Steven Gerrard.
Henderson wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to football as one reporter found out on Sunday. The 34-year-old denied rumours about him requesting to leave Ajax after a potential move to Monaco was touted.

Henderson said: "Well, they were negotiating so I imagine they did, yeah... they were negotiating a fee. It's not about about the details. I'm not giving you details."
"I know the truth," he added. "I know what happened. I'm not here to give you details, I'm just saying from my side."
Although he appeared heated, he also remained respectful. His passion is something that has no doubt helped him achieve what he has in his career.
Who made Jordan Henderson lose his cool?
He previously revealed that his temper once got the better of him during a training session when he was still at Liverpool.

Speaking on the ‘The Greatest Game’ podcast – hosted by Jamie Carragher - in 2019 he revealed how he lost his cool with a former teammate.
"I was trying to do the best I can do,” said Henderson. “Being a footballer, there is criticism and people doubting you all the time.
"At that time, I was a young player, and there were one or two things Luis [Suarez] did in training that I didn't like. It made me feel I wasn't good enough to be in the same team in training.
"The arms were up like, 'What the f***, what is he doing?' Like I shouldn't be there. That really hurt me.

"He did it three times and then I exploded and I was ready to kill him."
Although he did admit that the pair still had a “good relationship”.
"From that point, I had a good relationship with Luis," he added. "The next game, I set him up for his goal. He was brilliant after that and I was really close to him after that, and he was another big player I learned from."

Carragher, 47, took a positive view of the situation and even revealed that it impressed him when recalling the incident on Sky Sports in 2020.
"It was nothing major but a few words were exchanged, and I thought straight away, 'Yeah, I like that'," Carragher said.
"Suarez was the best player at the time, along with Stevie Gerrard, and Suarez had got frustrated with a pass Jordan had given him.
"For him to stand up as a young kid of 20, 21, it showed how much it meant to him, but also how much he'd been going through.

"Almost like, 'Oh, I don't care any more. I'm going to have a go at the best player at the club if he's having a pop at me'."
