Liverpool have made an offer for a Champions League player as the transfer window nears to a close, the star's agent has claimed.
The Premier League leaders have not been particularly active in the market in recent times, with their only bit of business in the summer window being the late capture of Federico Chiesa.
The Italy international has barely featured due to a lack of fitness and form, though Arne Slot's side have still been the best side in Europe and topped the Champions League table.

And while they are no pressing signings needed for the Reds before the deadline slams shut on Monday, it's claimed that they are one of a number of sides to present a proposal for Red Star Belgrade starlet Andrija Maksimovic.
The 17-year-old is considered to be one of the top up and coming young talents in world football and was compared to Barca wonderkid Lamine Yamal.
Having come through the ranks at the Belgrade outfit, he signed a new contract in September - one month before he made his Champions League debut against Inter Milan.

He featured in seven out of Red Star's Champions League fixtures as they finished on 29 points and has scored seven times in 26 games in all competitions this term.
According to his agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, a number of Europe's elite have offers on the table for the attacking midfielder but the price tag could be a sticking point.
"It's no secret, there are some [offers]," he said, as per the Daily Express.

"Liverpool are among them, Aston Villa, Leipzig and Atletico Madrid so all the clubs from the top leagues have shown serious interest.
"And then we get to whether the price is €12 million [£10m] or €20m [£16.7m], so they say 'let's see if it's €20m by June'.
"If the price was €10m [£8.4m] and he could go, Maksimovic would have already been sold."
Despite reported interest, the Liverpool Echo say it is unlikely that Liverpool are busy before the window closes - with the only likely activity potentially involving youngsters Jayden Danns and James McConnell heading out on loan for extra game time.
