Robert Lewandowski is set for an emotional return to Bayern Munich as Barcelona take on the German champions in the Champions League.
The Polish striker swapped Germany for Spain in a £42.5 million transfer this summer and has already scored 9 goals in 6 games for the Catalan club, including a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 5-1 Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen.
The two giants also faced one another in the group stages last season with Bayern running out 3-0 winners both home and away.

But this season is expected to be a much closer game, with Barcelona having brought in a number of new faces in the summer including Raphinha, Jules Kounde and of course, Lewandowski.
Both sides are currently undefeated both domestically and in Europe so far this season and will look to continue their successful run of form when they face each other on Tuesday night.

The German champions are expected to be without skilful winger Kinglsey Coman who missed the game with Stuttgart at the weekend with a muscular problem.
Despite the absence of Coman, Julian Naglesman will still have a plethora of attackers to choose from including Serge Gnabry, Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane, who was instrumental in Bayern’s 2-0 victory over Inter Milan on matchday 1.
