Harry Kane gave a brutally honest interview and 'called out' his teammates following Bayern Munich’s elimination from the Champions League.
Kane, 31, scored the opening goal of the evening at the San Siro but saw his Bayern Munich side crash out of the Champions League after a 2-2 draw (4-3 aggregate defeat) against Inter on Wednesday.
Inter progressed to the final four setting up a mouth-watering tie against a hugely talented Barcelona side while Bayern will, no doubt, be rueing a missed opportunity to potentially capture their seventh European crown.

And of course, this means Kane’s wait for a trophy remains – although with the Bavarians currently six points clear of Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga he is likely to secure silverware later this season.
The England captain appeared to call out his Bayern teammates after the defeat on Wednesday.
"Football can be so cruel," said Kane via sport1.

“Conceding two goals from set pieces today is criminal. It's hard to swallow," he added.
"We've practised a lot with set pieces—both offensively and defensively—and we've been really good at them this year. But it was obviously a gut punch to concede two goals like that right after taking the lead.”

“Well, we've scored five goals in the last three games,” Kane continued

“It's not like we're not scoring. We had our chances, and in the end, we'll look back on some of them. But it's just tough now after we gave it our all."
German media make feelings clear
Germany's media also gave their take on last night's action with Get German Football News handing Kane a 6/10 rating while Sport1 were not so kind, slapping him with a 2.5/10 rating, the outlet wrote: "He made a rather sluggish impression in the first half hour and didn't seem particularly quick to act. He only woke up a bit towards the end of the first 45 minutes...and in the 52nd minute, he sent the visitors' section of the San Siro into a frenzy.
"He received a pass on the inside right flank in the penalty area, calmly laid the ball on his right foot, forcing his opponent Dimarco to lunge, and coolly shot through Dimarco's legs into the far corner.

"Deliberate, composed, world-class. However, in the tighter phase, he wasn't as present as one would hope from a top star in a top game."
Meanwhile speaking on DAZN, former Bayern and Germany international Michael Ballack said: "With every year that passes, with every year you no longer have the chance to win the title – that's what it does to you. This moment was symbolic of that. Maybe even a few tears in my eyes.
"Because you naturally feel that you can achieve more with this team. The players felt that, and he knows it too. You don't get as many opportunities anymore. There are fewer years."
