Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has given an update on the future of Moises Caicedo after the Arsenal target was not included in the squad to play Liverpool.
The Seagulls have given the Ecuador international the weekend off, meaning he is not involved in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Liverpool.
The 21-year-old released a statement on Instagram on Friday, claiming he wanted to leave Brighton in January. The club have stated that their player is not for sale, despite Arsenal submitting a bid of £60 million, which was rejected.

De Zerbi has previously commented on how he is hopeful that Caicedo will stay at the Amex Stadium until at least the end of the season, with Brighton looking to qualify for European football for the first time in their history in this campaign.
Now, the Brighton boss has given his view on Caicedo's absence from the squad to take on Jurgen Klopp's Reds side on Sunday afternoon - and hinted that a 'solution' would be explored that suits both club and player.

"We hope he stays with us until the end of the season, but this is a question for the club and Moises.
When asked whether the midfielder's Instagram statement means there is now a lower chance of him staying at the club, he replied: "I think in life you can make mistakes. For everyone, there are many solutions. We will see the best solution for the club, for him and for us."
According to a number of reports (via Daily Mirror), Caicedo has been told to stay away from the club's training ground until the end of the January transfer window.
The club want the Ecuador star to stay at the club despite Arsenal and Chelsea interest - and it remains to be seen whether any significant developments take place before the end of the month.
