AC Milan are readying a €30 million proposal to Chelsea for winger Hakim Ziyech, according to reports in Italy.
The 29-year-old struggled for game time last season, with Thomas Tuchel preferring other options ahead of the Moroccan.
Tuchel put these decisions down to his preferred system, admitting that Ziyech’s preferred role did not exist when Chelsea play a back three.

"We switched systems lately (in January).
"If we play in a back four, a 4-1-4-1, with a right winger position - this suits Hakim (Ziyech) very best,” the Chelsea head coach said.
"This position was not available from the start in the (Carabao Cup) final so we took the tactical decision to play with the back three so did not leave us with the same position for Hakim so he came from the bench."

The lack of game time towards the end of the campaign has seen Ziyech linked with a move away as Chelsea are set to listen to offers for the Moroccan this summer.
The latest reports have stated that Ziyech handed in a transfer request as he looks for first-team football next season.
It has now been reported, by Calciomercato, that AC Milan are getting ready to submit an offer for the former Ajax star.
The Italian publication state that Ziyech was offered to Milan in recent hours and he wants to depart Chelsea after ‘breaking up with the coach’.

The Milan club have told Ziyech’s agent that they are ‘very interested’ in negotiating with Chelsea but only under the ‘right conditions’ this summer.
They would like to discuss a loan move for the winger and the details of this have now been revealed.
AC Milan are prepared to offer €30 million in total for the 29-year-old as they are in need of attacking reinforcements. They would like to structure the deal as an initial €5 million loan fee, with an obligation to buy.

This would allow Milan to take advantage of the ‘growth decree’ and apply the tax to Ziyech’s wages.
The fee of an obligation to buy would be €25 million, taking the total fee of the deal to €30 million.
Chelsea will not evaluate these terms to see if they will enter negotiations with the Milan club.
Milan can ‘count on two factors’ in the deal, the strong relationship between the Serie A side and Chelsea, and Ziyech’s desire to move to the San Siro this summer.

The Moroccan looks set to end his spell at Chelsea, after signing under Frank Lampard back in 2020.
It remains to be seen as to who Chelsea will bring in to replace the right-winger in the summer transfer window.
