Logan Paul claimed he was going to have the 'most viral WWE match of all time' last night and he delivered

He said he was going to have the most viral WWE match.

Logan Paul claimed he was going to have the “most viral WWE match of all time” against Ricochet - and he delivered.

YouTuber turned WWE wrestler Paul opened SummerSlam in emphatic style, dispatching his 34-year-old opponent in a highly athletic contest, with help from brass knuckles.

On Monday Ricochet and Paul stressed that they were set to have “the most viral” WWE match of all time.

It was not an outlandish claim, considering the pair launched their feud at the Royal Rumble months earlier by performing a tandem springboard - a moment that has just under two million views on YouTube.

Paul explained on his IMPAULSIVE podcast: “The move was, we both do what’s called a springboard, which is when you jump, put your foot on the top rope, and use it as a trampoline bounce…and by the way, when this move was pitched to me, I was like ‘is that possible?’

“Generally, when I have that reaction it’s a good thing because if it is then it’s incredible.”

And on Saturday Paul and Ricochet provided plenty more moments to remember.

The match featured some of WWE’s most inventive moves, including a Spanish Fly off the apron, a flying neck breaker from the top rope and Paul’s modified tornado DDT counter in midair.

Naturally, fans took to Twitter (X) to marvel at Paul’s performance.

One person wrote, “I hate how good Logan Paul is,” while another added, “He’s lowkey cold asf.”

A third person said, in response to Paul’s modified tornado DDT: “That looks ridiculously hard to pull off and he made that look easy.”

A fourth tweeted: “I think will be the match of the night.”

A fifth wrote: ” Logan is gonna be champ in WWE.”

Paul and Ricochet kicked off SummerSlam as the former had to leave the venue to attend his brother Jake’s fight against Nate Diaz.

Jake claimed a win by unanimous decision over the UFC legend on Saturday night.

'The Problem Child' dropped Diaz in round five and survived a late flurry from Diaz to earn 97-92, 98-91, and 98-91 scorecards.
