Joe Rogan podcast overtaken in Spotify charts by new rival with only two episodes

Joe Rogan’s podcast has been overtaken in the Spotify charts by a new rival with just two episodes.

Joe Rogan’s podcast has been overtaken in the Spotify charts by a new rival with just two episodes.

Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience has dominated the Spotify podcast charts for years.

However, every so often, another show will come along and temporarily dethrone Rogan from the summit.

Indeed, back in February Mel Robbins’s podcast overtook the Joe Rogan Experience in the charts, while former guest Shawn Ryan has also done the same with his own show in recent months.

And on Friday, March 21, Rogan was dethroned once more, this time by comedian Amy Poehler’s new show ‘Good Hang with Amy Poehler’.

Poehler’s podcast, where she interviews celebrities and other “fun people”, only launched its first two episodes on Tuesday, March 18, but fans have immediately flocked to listen.

The description on Spotify reads: “Come hang with Amy Poehler. Each week on her podcast, she'll welcome celebrities and fun people to her studio.

“They'll share stories about their careers, mutual friends, shared enthusiasms, and most importantly, what's been making them laugh.

“This podcast is not about trying to make you better or giving advice. Amy just wants to have a good time.”

Her first two episodes feature comedians Tina Fey and Martin Short, who both worked alongside Poehler on Saturday Night Live.

In the comedy podcast rankings, the Joe Rogan Experience is second to Poehler, but ahead of Theo Von, Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy, and Matt and Shane’s Secret podcast.

When taking into account all genres, Poehler’s podcast is top, with Robbins in second place. Rogan’s offering is the third most popular show, followed by Meidas Touch and The Martyr Made podcast.
