Joe Rogan called out by his own podcast guest seconds into fiery episode as clip goes viral

Douglas Murray called out Joe Rogan on his podcast.

Joe Rogan was called out by his own podcast guest seconds into a fiery episode as a clip from the show has gone viral.

American comedian Dave Smith and British cultural critic Douglas Murray joined Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience for a blockbuster episode.

Murray wasted no time in confronting Rogan and criticised him to his face for platforming conspiracy theorists and privileging 'fringe' views.

"We should get it out straight away... I feel you've opened the door to quite a lot of people who have now got a big platform, who have been throwing out counter-historical stuff of a very dangerous kind," he exclaimed, referencing Ian Carroll and Daryl Cooper, who appeared on Rogan's podcast month.

The UFC commentator refuted Murray's suggestion that he is giving non-experts a platform, with Smith calling Cooper 'incredibly knowledgeable'.

Murray rejected Smith's notion, saying: "These guys are not historians, they are not knowledgeable!"

Carroll, an independent researcher, claims Israel was responsible for 9/11 and expressed other views blaming Jewish people for various societal ills.

On Rogan inviting Carroll onto his podcast, Murray questioned: "But if you’re going to interview historians of the conflict, or historians in general, why would you get someone like Ian Carroll?

To which Rogan replied: "Ian Carroll, I didn’t bring him on for that purpose."

Murray also name-dropped Cooper, who argued on Tucker Carlson's podcast that Winston Churchill was the 'chief villain of World War II'.

Asked if he has consumed any of Cooper's content, Murray replied: "It’s pretty hard to listen to someone who says, 'I don’t know what I’m talking about, but now I’m going to talk'."

Smith weighed in: "Yeah, but that’s not exactly what Darryl was saying.

"Darryl’s point of view - however you feel about this - what Darryl was saying is he doesn’t like to do debates. He likes to do long format stuff where he can really explain it."

After the episode, Saul Sadka, an author and scholar, took to social media to share his thoughts on Murray calling out Rogan on his podcast.

On X, he posted a clip of their exchange, accompanied with the caption: "Douglas Murray does what few men alive would dare: he calls out Joe Rogan in his own studio.

"This clip outlines how the next few years may unfold on the American right, so bookmark this and watch it carefully.

"The American left was defeated by Trump because it was hijacked by brilliant Machiavellian gatekeepers at key nodes in media, politics, and academia. These actors sought to steer society in their direction - and they succeeded too well. The resulting pushback is what see now.

"A similar process is unfolding on the right, but this time, the culprits are conspiracists, audience chasing grifters, comedians, and men who’ve had too many blows to the head - or just too much blow. These people stand no chance against their peers on the left.

"So either people like Douglas Murray win this battle or brace for the counter-backlash. Because as fed up as normies were with the pronoun stuff, they will hate this even more. And if Murray's side loses? Prepare for the return of Woke - and President AOC."
