Elon Musk immediately responded after Joe Rogan called him a 'psychopath' on his podcast.
During the US presidential election in 2024, Rogan and Musk publicly declared their support for Donald Trump, with both figures backing the Republican leader.
The UFC commentator also jumped to the defence of Musk when he was slammed by Democrats, who criticised the tech billionaire over his access to America's sensitive information.

Rogan called Musk a 'super genius' amid backlash over his work slashing federal spending through his Department of Government Efficiency, claiming the cutbacks are 'good for everybody'.
Speaking on his podcast, he explained: "He has $400 billion, he’s not going to steal your money. I’m telling you he’s not going to steal your money. I’m telling you, that’s not what he’s doing."

Rogan added: "He’s a super genius that’s been f**ked with. And when you’ve been f**ked with by these nitwits that hide behind 3-letter agencies and you’re dealing with one of the smartest people alive and he helps Donald Trump get into office and he goes, ‘I want to find out what kind of corruption is really around'.

"You f**ked up and picked the wrong psychopath on the spectrum," Rogan added while laughing.
"He’s gonna hunt you down, he’s going to find out what’s going on and that’s good. That’s good for everybody. That’s how you should be looking at this, like 'Wow, we have a brilliant mind that is examining these really f**king corrupt and goofy systems and bringing in a bunch of psychopath wizards'."
Musk shared the clip of Rogan on X, which he owns, accompanied with a bullseye emoji.
Since Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, Musk has been an ever-growing presence in U.S politics, having joined rallies and spoke out on social media. He now heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Rogan and Musk have since sat down and held a wide-ranging interview on The Joe Rogan Experience and covered many topics, including DOGE.
He told Rogan that DOGE had continued to fund things that 'appear to be legitimate' but that the government should not be sending taxpayer money to 'dubious enterprises overseas'.
