Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce's reaction to girlfriend Taylor Swift being booed by fans at the Super Bowl has been revealed after an emotional clip of the NFL player emerged online

On Monday morning, the Philadelphia Eagles claimed a shock win over back-to-back winners Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl.

Ahead of the match, pop superstar Swift was spotted supporting boyfriend Kelce at Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, but she wasn't met with praise as fans started booing her during the match.

And in the wake of the massive match, the Kansas City Chiefs' star's reaction to his long-term girlfriend being shown such a unfriendly welcome has been revealed.

Heading into the NFL season finale, the Chiefs were the favourites to make history by claiming three consecutive Super Bowl wins but it wasn't meant to be as the Eagles comfortably beat the reigning champions 40-22.

Before the match kicked off, several celebrities in attendance were shown on the jumbrotron to fans in attendance, including Donald Trump, Tom Brady, and the clearly unpopular Swift.

Although he was unable to do anything about it, Kelce was fully aware of his girlfriend being booed across the stadium, and source has told The Daily Mail exactly how it impacted him.

"Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him," the source revealed.

"He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.

"It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts - being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him. Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honoured for a president to be there."

The moment added to what was already a difficult night for Kelce, having missed the opportunity to make history alongside Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs team.

It therefore comes as no surprise that the tight end was clearly emotional when spotted backstage by a fan who attended the game.
