UFC fans concerned for Paddy Pimblett after seeing him weigh-in for Michael Chandler fight at UFC 314

Paddy Pimblett successfully made weight for his UFC 314 fight but concerned fans.

UFC fans have expressed their concern over Paddy Pimblett after seeing him weigh-in for his huge fight against Michael Chandler at UFC 314.

Pimblett returns to action at this weekend's UFC 314, having not fought since his big win over King Green at UFC 304 in Manchester last summer.

He faces MMA veteran Michael Chandler, who made his comeback against Charles Oliveira last November after his bout against Conor McGregor fell through.

'The Baddy' has documented his weight cut and shown off his remarkable physique ahead of the biggest test of his budding MMA career.

At the official UFC 314 weigh-ins on Friday, he successfully made weight, tipping the scales in at 156lbs, with Chandler also hitting the 156lbs mark for their lightweight showdown.

But Pimblett concerned some UFC fans on social media as he appeared to look very gaunt following what appears to be a gruelling weight cut.

One X user wrote: "He looks hella drained."

A second said: "Rough weight cut. Jeez."

A third added: "Looks terrible."

A fourth commented: "Bro, his cheeks. He's drained."

Another wrote: "Get that man some water omg."

Pimblett normally begins his training camp far from the lightweight mark and usually performs a drastic weight cut to make the division's limit.

He's no stranger to brutal weight cuts, having previously said he's in the best shape of his career.

Pimblett took to social media earlier this week to thank his coaches and sparring partners, revealing he is in the best shape of his life.

"Raring to go for next week! Ready for five rounds even though this fight isn’t going the distance! I can’t thank the team enough for the best fight camp we’ve ever done," he wrote on social media.

"(Thanks to) all my training partners for getting me the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been. I really am in the shape of my life! Chandler ain’t ready, people believe that!"

The Liverpool fighter has recorded six consecutive wins since joining the UFC.

He beat Luigi Vendramini on his promotional debut before taking out the likes of Tony Ferguson and Green as he aims to register the biggest win of his career against Chandler.
