Joe Rogan couldn't believe what he was seeing when the controversial exchange between Johnny Walker and the doctor unfolded at UFC 294.
The light-heavyweight clash between Walker and Magomed Ankalaev was stopped in the first-round by the ringside physician.
The medical official was also involved in another bizarre moment as he seemed to accuse Victor Henry of faking a groin shot.

Ankalaev hit Walker with an illegal knee, with the referee bringing in the doctor, who told the third man in the Octagon to call off the bout.
The incident angered UFC CEO Dana White as he revealed the conversation between the UFC fighter and the doctor.
Rogan, who wasn't on commentary duty for the Abu Dhabi event, was also left infuriated by the decision to call off the showdown.

He branded the incident 'stupid' and 'crazy' as he bemoaned the decision to halt the 205lbs match.
"I don't understand," he said when the referee waved off the fight.
"Why are they calling the fight?! This is crazy."
Rogan added: "He got hit with an illegal shot and wants to keep going... let him go. This is where formalities and all this stuff makes no sense."

The podcaster continued: "Let them keep going. This is stupid... let them fight."
Walker himself revealed his conversation with the doctor as he wanted to carry on fighting despite Ankalaev's illegal strike.

“He asked me if I wanted to continue fighting," he told Ariel Helwani.
"I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Where are you?' I didn’t want to say the wrong answer because I was excited when he was doing the test and I wanted to say the right answer. I thought to say Abu Dhabi... and then I said, 'Fine, I’m in the f**king desert, bro. I’m here. I’m good... I’m in the desert. I’m in the Middle East'."
