Veteran podcaster Joe Rogan has revealed the most shocking fact about his long-serving producer.
Over a decade after the first episode, 'The Joe Rogan Experience' has become perhaps the biggest podcast of all time, attracting some of the biggest names in the world.
Essential to the podcast's success has been Rogan's right-hand man and producer Jamie Vernon, often referred to by Rogan as ‘Young Jamie’.

But his talents as a producer aren't what has impressed Rogan the most about Vernon during their partnership, as the UFC commentator revealed his friend's bizarre talent in an episode of the podcast.
During episode #1991 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan welcomed fellow comedians Ari Schaffir, Mark Normand, and Shane Gillis to the studio.
Throughout the episode, the four men discussed several topics but eventually began to discuss their alcohol and drug consumption, and what it takes to get each of them to feel impacted by the substances.

This prompted Schaffir to ask the group, "You ever meet a guy who can’t get high?”
Which led to Rogan revealing the surprise fact about Vernon, replying: "Jamie can’t get high off edibles. Jamie has this crazy thing where he can eat like a 1000mg.”
After the group reacted in complete disbelief, Vernon himself spoke up, adding: “To say I didn’t feel a thing off of that, that’s a stretch. But, I didn’t feel it the way it’s supposed to feel.”
"That’s f***ed up,” replied Rogan.

The average person will reportedly feel the effects of edible marijuana, which is legal in many parts of America, after taking anything between 2.5-20mg, making Vernon's ability to take as much as 1000mg quite shocking.
Vernon first joined the podcast as an assistant in 2013, four years after the start of the podcast, and he is widely praised as being a key part to the show growing in popularity in recent years.
The 42-year-old's talents are so well known in the industry, that several other podcast hosts have also spoken out about the importance of Vernon.

Speaking on an episode of his podcast, Lex Fridman said: “I didn’t understand how little Joe knew about Jamie when he hired him and Jamie stepped up. And now runs one of the most successful podcasts ever. And that’s an incredible kind of and he’s one of the best producers in the world now. Not to let it get to his head.”
