Donald Trump's unseen gesture to Paddy Pimblett emerges after his win over Michael Chandler at UFC 314

Paddy Pimblett and Donald Trump shared an exchange following the star fighter's victory at UFC 314.

Donald Trump's unseen gesture to Paddy Pimblett immediately after his big win over Michael Chandler has emerged.

Pimblett scored the biggest win of his MMA career following his third-round TKO victory over Chandler in the co-main event of last weekend's UFC 314.

He delivered a masterful performance inside the Octagon, piecing up his opponent on the feet before brutalising him on the ground with a barrage of elbows.

'The Baddy' earned one of the card's 'Performance of the Night' bonuses as he bagged a huge UFC 314 purse.

He has catapulted himself into the upper echelon of the UFC lightweight division, having been given a new ranking following his stunning victory.

Pimblett impressed UFC CEO Dana White, UFC commentator Joe Rogan and many fans, not to mention US president Trump, who was in attendance at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

A video uploaded by the UFC shows Pimblett and Trump having a quick yet telling exchange.

Amid his post-fight celebrations, the 30-year-old can be seen interacting with Trump, who responded by applauding the UFC fighter's performance. Check it out below:

The 78-year-old's gesture speaks volumes considering who Pimblett was up against.

Chandler is not just an American but also a Trump supporter.

Pimblett has now won seven UFC fights since signing for the MMA leaders.

He's beaten the likes of Tony Ferguson, King Green and, of course, Chandler.

The Liverpool fighter is in line for another big bout, having come through his hardest test at UFC 314.

Conor McGregor could be a future foe following the Irish fighter's social media dig.

On McGregor backing Chandler to win by knockout, Pimblett told TNT Sports: "Oh yeah. He said he put a bet on Chandler to win by knockout.

"F**king hell, Conor. Should have mentioned him in the cage, you little lizard.

"If you're coming back lad, let's do it. Wembley, Croke Park, you could get excited about that. You could do it at Wembley. Me and Conor sells Wembley out, sells Anfield out, sells Croke Park out.

"Stop sleeping on the bad man, or you get slept."
