Conor McGregor appears to have dropped a major career decision on social media following the fallout of UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi.
McGregor continues to be under contract with the UFC but has not fought since 2021 when he suffered a gruesome leg injury against Dustin Poirier.
The former two-division champion was meant to make his return to the cage in 2024 to face off against Michael Chandler, but the fight was postponed and eventually cancelled completely.

The Irishman currently sits with a record of 22 wins and six losses in the sport but has only won one fight since 2017 and fans are beginning to lose hope of a comeback.
One fan actually called for the 36-year-old to call it quits immediately due to the risk factor connected to MMA fighting following a particularly gruesome injury to Robert Whittaker during UFC 308.
Whitaker suffered a fractured jaw which left some of his teeth completely disconnected from his jaw.

The post read: "No reason to come back to UFC or fighting in general, you have a beautiful family, worth half a billion, businesses and being a successful businessman.
"You made your dreams come true, becoming UFC double champ. Don’t risk your health or well-being, you have got nothing to prove to anyone champ, continue to live life with happiness."
Shockingly, McGregor actually responded to the fan on X and seems to have confirmed what many were already thinking, he isn't coming back.
McGregor replied: "Ya know what, you’re right, good bye."

While anything posted by McGregor on social media has to be taken tongue in cheek, with so many years of inactivity and an empire of other income streams this one could be genuine.
McGregor has clearly been focussing on other avenues over the last few years with the launch of both his whiskey and stout, as well as making his on-screen debut in 2024 with Road House.
With no imminent fight announcement, we could really of seen the last of Conor McGregor...
