Conor McGregor has revealed why he turned down the opportunity to fight KSI on Alcatraz island this summer.
A potential return for McGregor would be rather controversial after he was found liable for assaulting Nikita Hand by a civil court jury in Dublin last year.
The Irishman has also received criticism for his visit to see Donald Trump in the White House, where he announced a bid to become the Irish President.

McGregor was supposed to return to the UFC to fight Michael Chandler, but due to numerous variables the fight never happened and now another potential return has fallen through.
The former two-division UFC champion looked set to get in the ring with influencer-turned-boxer KSI, with a deal looking all but confirmed earlier in the year.
Speaking on MISFITS, KSI's manager, Mams Taylor, revealed: "We thought it was a done deal and we were told it was a done deal.

“But I think Conor made a statement recently about that and referenced it subtly, so go back to that," he added.
McGregor has confirmed the extremely surprising crossover was a real possibility, with the fight rather extraordinarily set to take place at Alcatraz in San Francisco.
"There was an opportunity, or should we say a deal, to fight on Alcatraz recently in June," McGregor said.

The Irishman also revealed that the reason the deal never got finalised, is due to the offer being too small for someone of his caliber.
"And they came to me, and it wasn’t my worth. As a fighter, we have to know our worth," he explained.
"I hold every pay-per-view record in the book. I hold every gate record in the book."
Despite many believing we will never see McGregor fight again, he insisted that he is still 100% focused on making a return when the right opportunity opens up.

"My comeback would be slated as the greatest.
"Or the biggest, most anticipated comeback of all time. So it has to be right."
