New footage has been released, showing Colby Covington speaking to Leon Edwards after the comment he made about Edwards' late Father.
Leon Edwards will face-off against Colby Covington in his defence of his UFC Welterweight Championship on Saturday night in Paradise, Nevada in what is set to be the main event.
The British Edwards has not fought since March, where he won via majority decision against Kamaru Usman, though the American Covington has not fought at all since March 2022.
The 36-year-old Covington is a controversial figure in the fighting world, making headlines for his outspoken views, even donning a 'Make America Great Again' cap at the latest press conference.

Covington made a comment about Edwards' Father, who was killed in a nighclub when he was just 13, saying: "I'm bringing you to the seventh layer of hell. We'll say what's up to your dad while we're there."
However, new footage shows that in their face-to-face, Covington said something to Edwards in relation to the incident.

The American apparently said: "I was in character. I was in character. See you tomorrow."

Edwards was disillusioned by his comments, staying straight faced and emotionless to the audience before the end of the face-to-face.
Some fans on X think that Covington was saying something different though, with one commenting: "I hear 'thought it was a character'”
Another agreed, saying: "Not what he said. He says 'Thought it was a character?'”
However, some people disagreed with these claims, with one user replying: "People thinking 'thought it was a character?' Is the ultimate cope"
