An MMA fighter nicknamed 'The Egyptian Hulk' once suffered a brutal knockout just eight seconds into a bout.
Mahmoud Hassan made his MMA debut back in April 2012 with a victory over Ricky Misholas but then lost his next five fights prior to facing Chi Lewis-Parry at the UAE Warriors 7 card in 2019.
The pair squared off in the main event at the Mubadala Arena, with the UAEW Heavyweight Championship on the line.
It promised to be a historic moment Hassan's career but it ended up being his most devastating defeat, with the encounter featuring just a single punch thrown and one that left Hassan in a world of hurt.

A mere eight seconds after the buzzer sounded, Brit Lewis-Parry caught Hassan flush with a strike with his right hand that sent him right to the canvas.
Hassan was in immediate pain and though Lewis-Parry landed a few more punches on his opponent, the referee waved off the fight.
Lewis-Parry lapped up his victory inside the cage, while Hassan was attended to by medics and coaches as he sat on the deck.

The knockout is the fastest in the history of UAE Warriors history and one of the quickest in the MMA on the whole.
Incredibly, it was reported that Hassan suffered four fractures to his face as a result of the onslaught and was forced to undergo surgery. Lewis-Parry's manager Sid Deans shared images of the aftermath, with Hassan's eye socket left heavily bruised and swollen.
After his brutal loss, Hassan had a scheduled kickboxing bout against Bogdan Nastase cancelled before he finally got back to winning ways against Ahmed Shams in July 2024.
