Rap superstar Drake has placed two eye-watering bets on the hotly anticipated MMA super-fight between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.
Jones, who vacated the light heavyweight title back in 2020, hasn’t fought inside the octagon since his unanimous decision victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.
The 35-year-old American star, who is widely regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time, has been training and building his physique ahead of his long-awaited climb into the heavyweight division.

UFC legend Jones will now make his sensational return on Saturday as he fights for the vacant heavyweight title against Gane at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Drake has put two separate bets on the main-event title fight at UFC 285, with both bets placed around two-time light heavyweight champ Jones.
One of the bets has a $250,000 stake on Jones winning by submission, which would see Drake earn a hefty $1.7m payout if ‘Bones’ can make Gane tap out.

And Drake’s other bet has a $250,000 stake on Jones to beat Gane by way of knockout, landing the five-time Grammy winner a $1.3m return if the result plays out.
However, fans on social media were quick to suggest that Jones has been hit with the infamous ‘Drake curse’ after the 36-year-old rapper placed his bets.
“Just cursed Jon then,” one fan said in response to the betting slips.

Someone else added: “Has to be Jones by decision now.”
“NOOOO! Drake, why did you have to do that? Let’s hope the curse doesn’t continue,” a third Twitter user wrote.
Another posted: “Sorry, Jon, ain’t no way you can win now.”
And a fifth tweeted: “Be hilarious if Jones wins by decision.”
