Liverpool are reportedly ready to step up their bid to bring in the first big signing of the Arne Slot era.
After replacing Jurgen Klopp in the summer, former AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord boss Slot has made a flying start to life at Anfield.
So far, Liverpool have only lost one match - a shock 1-0 home defeat against Nottingham Forest as they sit top of the table in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
With momentum clearly with the Reds, it has been claimed that the club's owners could bring in a marquee signing during the January transfer window.
