Dutch media have already made their feelings clear on Tyrell Malacia after Man Utd loanee makes PSV debut

Tyrell Malacia made his PSV debut last weekend following his transfer from Manchester United.

Dutch media have delivered their verdict on Tyrell Malacia following his PSV Eindhoven debut after joining from Manchester United.

Malacia, who moved to Man United from Feyenoord for £13 million in 2022, signed for PSV on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window.

His move away from Old Trafford comes after Man United signed Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in a transfer worth £30 million.

Malacia, who has been blighted with a series of injury issues during his Man United spell, made eight appearances this season before leaving the club.

He made his latest appearance in a PSV shirt as he debuted against Willem II in an Eredivisie fixture last Saturday.

PSV were held to a 1-1 draw by Willem II, who are languishing in the bottom half of the table.

On a personal note, Malacia completed over 60 minutes, with Dutch outlet Algemeen Dagblad claiming the action on the pitch was a 'success for him'.

But they claim the Red Devils loanee has already 'tasted the poisonous cup that PSV have had to drink for a while'.

The left-back, however, was praised for the 'energy' he gave to his new side as he almost registered an assist after setting up Luuk de Jong, who failed to convert the chance.

And Malacia has been backed to keep his place in the starting XI for PSV's Champions League first-leg play-off tie against Juventus.

Algemeen Dagblad state the 25-year-old 'seems to be usable and of immediate added value'.

Speaking after the result, Malacia said: "A draw against Willem II is not good enough and that causes reactions.

"I still felt fit when I was substituted. I was able to make more than sixty minutes and personally I am happy with that, but the result is of course not what we wanted.

"It's a bit difficult at the moment in terms of results and I have also followed it from outside in recent weeks. It's all about results and we just have to always win."
