Liverpool could be set to make a huge summer signing before the transfer deadline on Friday, as Arne Slot looks to add to the signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.
Slot looks to have finally sealed his first incoming as Liverpool manager, with Georgian international goalkeeper Mamardashvili set for a medical with the club on Monday.
However, the 23-year-old shot-stopper will remain at the La Liga side for the remainder of the 24/25 season, meaning Slot is still yet to add to the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp.

Despite the lack of transfer activity, Slot's side have been performing very well thus far, with six points out of six thanks to victories against Ipswich Town and Brentford.
Speaking about his start in the Premier League, Slot told the media:" [It's been] Positive for many reasons. I think Brentford showed last week with their first goal, but in general also in their first game, that they can play out from the back really good.
"They tried to do this here as well, sometimes it worked better than other moments but they are also really threatening on the counter-attack and they are obviously a big threat on set-pieces, and I think the only threat they had today was the set-piece where Alisson [Becker] saved us in the second half," he added.

Despite not conceding a goal yet, According to a report from Dave OCKop, Liverpool are expected to be looking to add a centre-back to their squad before the deadline.
Several different names have been thrown into the hat with Liverpool including Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida, Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace, and Alessandro Bastoni of Inter Milan in their shortlist.
Guehi in particular has been consistently linked with a move to Anfield, but according to Ockop the England international is more likely to sign for rival Premier League side Newcastle United.
