A former United States international wants to see another showdown between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for the next MLS All-Star game – and it would undoubtedly bring in millions of viewers.
Taylor Twellman, the former New England Revolution forward who made 30 appearances for his country, thinks an All-Star clash between Major League Soccer and the Saudi Pro League should happen.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Riyadh-based side Al Nassr in December last year, when he penned a contract worth a reported £173 million a year.

A number of big names have followed Ronaldo this summer, including N'Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez and Kalidou Koulibaly, who would all likely feature if an All-Star game took place.
Messi, meanwhile, has enjoyed a prolific start to his MLS career with Inter Miami; a team that have also brought in Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Speaking on the Dan Le Batard show with Stugotz Twellman explained why he wants to see the star-studded fixture.

"You know what the next All-Star game I would do? Saudi Arabia All-Stars versus MLS All-Stars, and I would put it in the Rose Bowl," he said.
"I would put it in the Rose Bowl and have Messi versus Ronaldo that one last time.
"I would tap into this because it is a real, interesting topic among the both leagues and how they're going about their business. Messi's lit MLS on fire, you now have younger players here in MLS versus the older players in Saudi Arabia.
"But both leagues are now on the radar of the world market that they weren't six, eight, 12 months ago. I would play into the Messi-Ronaldo thing in two seconds."

Last month, Wayne Rooney gave his brutally honest opinion after his MLS All-Star side were beaten 5-0 by Arsenal.
"As I suggested, I didn't want them training at the National Mall but that's where we trained," Rooney said. "We can't do anything, we were willing to do head tennis. So we literally had no time to do any tactics whatsoever.
"You put the players out there and hope that they can figure things out, and against a team like Arsenal that's very difficult to do."

He added: "You try and make it a bit of fun and try and let the players have a good experience. And of course it's great for some players to play against some top players.
"But also I think some personal pride needs to come into it as well, and you wanna try and do well and not let the score be as it was tonight."
