Barcelona fans brutally hijack player's social media post and tell him to leave the club ASAP after horror show against Borussia Dortmund

Barcelona fans are fuming with one of their key players.

One Barcelona star has had his social media hijacked with fans calling him to leave the club following his performance against Borussia Dortmund.

Barcelona managed to book their place in the last four of the Champions League on Tuesday, but it was a lot closer than they would have anticipated after a 4-0 win in the first leg.

A hat trick from Serhou Guirassy made things interesting, but an own goal from Ramy Bensebaini in the 54th minute made it too hard a task for the Bundesliga side.

Barcelona will face the winners of Inter vs Bayern in the semi-final, with the Italian side taking a 2-1 lead back to the San Siro.

Despite progression in the competition, Barcelona fans were left furious with Ronald Araujo's performance with the defender playing a key role in Guirassy's third goal.

The Catalonian's frustrations are likely heightened for the Uruguay international with his disastrous red card in last year's Champions League knockout clash vs PSG.

Following the game, fans flooded into the defender's Instagram comments to call for his exit despite Araujo not posting on the platform for a week.

One fan wrote: "It's always the same. Messing up at important moments."

Another added: "You are no longer the same Araujo as before, in the big matches you only help the rival team."

A third replied: "One of the worst Barça defenders of all time."

A fourth fan questioned: "Why is the lack of confidence always in the big games."

Another posted: "It's time for you to leave Barcelona, you almost ruin another knockout match for us, out please."

After the match, Hansi Flick admitted it had been a tough night for his side despite qualification.

"We had not had one of our better days," he said via Barcelona.

"We are through the tie and that was our objective. It's fantastic for the Club to be in the semi-finals. Being in the Champions League semi-finals is a great success and we have to be happy about that."
