Paris Saint-Germain could scupper Manchester United’s transfer plans this summer despite a Qatari takeover bid for the Old Trafford club having been placed.
On Friday, Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the chairman of one of Qatar banks QIB, made a "substantial" bid for United.
The proposal would allegedly carry no debt, while all profits under Sheikh Jassim’s ownership would be reinvested into the community through the newly-formed Nine Two Foundation.

A rival bid in the club has been placed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos Group after the Manchester-born billionaire indicated his intention to buy United last month.
It is uncertain whether Sheikh Jassim will be perceived as a separate operation from that of Qatar Sports Investments, a subsidiary of the state-run sovereign-wealth fund in Qatar that owns French giants PSG.
Indeed, UEFA regulations state that two clubs who are majority owned by the same entity are unable to compete in the same European competitions - namely the Champions League.
PSG transfer plans
Despite Qatari interest in United, PSG could scupper the Old Trafford club’s transfer plans this summer.

French publication L’Equipe have claimed Randal Kolo Muani, Marcus Thuram and Manu Kone are PSG’s primary transfer targets for the summer. Indeed, they are all players that have been linked with Manchester United in the past.
PSG sporting director Luis Campos has reportedly identified Kolo Muani as a priority target with the France international having notched 15 goals and 14 assists in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt this term.
Moreover, the club have noted the 24-year-old’s positive relationship with star man Kylian Mbappe.
Furthermore, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Thuram has reportedly been “mentioned” as an alternative to Kolo Muani while Kone is also allegedly being tracked.

United have been eager to sign a striker since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November, and it had been widely reported that Thuram and Kolo Muani are two transfer targets for the Old Trafford club.
Furthermore, last summer L’Equipe cited United as one of several European giants interested in signing Kone.
