Rio Ferdinand has given his verdict on the potential transfer of Harry Kane to Manchester United this summer - and made a prediction on the club's fortunes if they sign him.
United face Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight, with Erik ten Hag's side desperate to secure three points to rubberstamp their position in the top four.
But a secondary focus of the night is on Kane, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as his Spurs future remains in doubt.

The England international has opened initial talks with his current club over a new deal, according to reports, but there is yet to be an official agreement.
And speaking in the BT Sport studio ahead of the match, United legend Ferdinand has given his view on what could develop into a major transfer saga this summer.
Ferdinand on Kane
When asked about a potential move for Kane, Ferdinand said: "If there aren't conversations going on in the corridors of power at Manchester United, obviously Daniel Levy [Spurs chairman] is here, about Kane, I'd be very surprised.

"Start negotiations now, before the season finishes. You look at the situation at Spurs, and we've spent however long on this programme talking about Spurs and how much turmoil they're in at the moment, United have got to be looking at that.
"Get it done now. They [United] go closer [to winning the league] than where they are right now, definitely."
When presented with the possibility by Owen Hargreaves of Kane staying until the end of his contract and leaving on a free, Ferdinand responded: "Too long."
