Manchester City weren't particularly active on transfer deadline day and ultimately opted against looking for a Joao Cancelo replacement after he was loaned out to Bayern Munich.
There were some reports that they made an ambitious loan offer for Leicester City midfielder James Maddison but that was ultimately knocked back.
However, the Premier League champions did make a tidy sum of money on the final day of the window through Pedro Porro's move to Spurs from Sporting CP.

At one point it looked as though the deal might be off due to an administration fee of £2.6 million, but Spurs snapped the right-back up.
Porro joins on loan but with an obligation to buy for £39.5 million in the summer. And as reported by Simon Stone of the BBC,
City will net £10 million.

Porro was at City's sister club Girona and signed for the Blues in a reported £11 million switch in 2019. However, he didn't make a single appearance and joined Sporting on a permanent deal after an initial loan.
CIty had a sell-on clause in place and have therefore more or less made their money back on the Spaniard.
They did also have a £17 million buy-back option on Porro but Pep Guardiola elected against activating it despite letting Joao Cancelo leave on loan to Bayern Munich.

He told media: "Pedro Porro is a very good signing for Spurs but we were not actively working to bring him here in January, no.
"Porro was on the list, but we didn't think about the buy-back. He decides to go to Spurs."
Porro is in line to make his debut for Spurs against City in Sunday's clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But it won't exactly be a reunion given past comments from the 23-year-old.

"I've never spoken to Pep Guardiola. I don't think he even knows they signed me. But they must be attentive to what I have been doing," Porro was quote as saying in an interview with A Bola.
