Liverpool are in talks with Blackburn Rovers over the sale of central defender Ben Davies, according to the Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old signed for the Reds as part of their emergency contingency window to replace all of their injured central defenders in 2021, but he has failed to make a single appearance for Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp was full of praise when he first arrived at Anfield, but did hint at a lack of game-time for the defender.

“He’s a really good footballer, looks like a proper leader in this Preston team, good in challenges, looks football smart, can play different positions because he played in a back three and a back four and all these things.
“That makes him really interesting so I’m really looking forward to working with him."

"I know for him it’s an opportunity and I see it exactly the same for us, that it’s a really good thing to do.”
He did feature once in a pre-season friendly last summer, but failed to make the grade for the tour this time around due to his future being in doubt.
Davies spent last campaign on loan at Sheffield United, and it is thought that Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing him on a permanent deal.
He is on £60,000 per week at Anfield and has three years left on his contract.

He is under no pressure to depart.
Celtic and Stoke City have also registered an interest in the left-footed defender, who came through the ranks at Preston North End.

Liverpool have reportedly finished their incomings at the club, with a rumoured £83m being shelled out for Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay respectively.
However, they’ve also recouped money from the sales of Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Neco Williams and Tom Clayton.
With Davies leaving this campaign, it could mean Liverpool breakeven for the window, or even make a slight profit when all fees are paid.
