Fans have been left baffled after the winner of the Player of the Match award for Aston Villa's Champions League clash with Paris Saint Germain was confirmed.
Heading into the second leg at Villa Park, PSG were protecting a two-goal advantage after winning 3-1 at the Parc des Princes last week.
The 3-1 lead became 5-1 after goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes in the first 30 minutes.

However, goals from Youri Tielemans, John McGinn and Ezri Konsa made it 3-2 on the night, with PSG just about hanging on to advance by winning 5-4 on aggregate.
After the match at Villa Park, it was confirmed that PSG star Ousmane Dembele was chosen as the Player of the Match.
As the winger walked off the pitch, it looked like he refused to receive the award when an official tried repeatedly to hand it to him. You can watch the footage below.

However, Dembele was later pictured holding the award.
Reacting on social media, fans were left slightly bemused by the decision to give the Frenchman the award after a less than impressive display.

A fifth commented: "Wow didn't even know he was playing."
Another fan said: "How?? Rashford, Mcginn?? Even Donarumma if you want. At this point, it's just a PR award."

Speaking after the match, PSG captain Marquinhos said: "We knew it was going to be a difficult game. We had belief, we kept our intensity and we believed until the end we were going to go through.

"It is such a difficult competition but we are getting better and better and we are proving we are good team. There is belief that we can go all the way and win it this year."
As a result of knocking out Villa, PSG will now await the winner of Arsenal's clash against Real Madrid in the next round.
The Gunners are in pole position to go through as they head to the Bernabeu with a 3-0 lead.
