Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has hinted that one of his summer signings could leave the club after just six months.

During the summer transfer window, Cheslea spent big again as they brought in the likes of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Renato Veiga, Marc Guiu, Tosin Adarabioyo and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Under the guidance of new boss Maresca, the Blues have made a strong start to the campaign as they currently sit two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table.

Chelsea will go top of the table if they beat Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, with Liverpool kicking off against Tottenham Hotspur afterwards.

With the January transfer window on the horizon, Maresca has admitted that summer signing Dewsbury-Hall could leave due to limited game time.

What has Enzo Maresca said about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall?

Speaking after Chelsea's 5-1 win over Shamrock Rovers in the Europa Conference League, Maresca said, as per Football London: "I cannot say that, not about Kiernan, about all the squad, because when the transfer window is open, unfortunately anything can happen.

"So I'm not focused on January, the only thing I can say about Kiernan is that we are very happy in the way he's working, we are very happy about his performance, and this is my thought about Kiernan."

He continued: "We don't want one of our players to leave, the problem is that sometimes the question is more for them, that if they say, OK, you don't want me to leave, but I'm not happy, I want to play more.

"So in that case, we are not going to say, no, you have to stay, yes or yes. It's a matter of agreement between the club and the player, the only thing I can say is that we are happy with Kiernan, then we'll see."

Dewsbury-Hall, who arrived from Leicester City in the summer, is currently behind the likes of Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez in the pecking order.

Despite only being two points behind Liverpool, Maresca has refused to be dragged into any talks about winning the Premier League title.

He said: "No matter how many games we win, I think we are not ready to compete for the title.

"One of the reasons why is that the team that knows how to compete to win titles, they won’t concede goals we concede. A team that knows how to win titles, that is not a goal they know how to concede."

Maresca added: "Just two teams have conceded less than us. Defensively we’re not doing bad. We’d like to end with a clean sheet but there’s another team trying to score."
