Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to extend Roberto Firmino's contract at the club, according to reports.
Firmino's deal is set to expire in the summer, meaning he could leave for free at the end of the season.
Klopp has already expressed his desire for the Brazilian to stay at Anfield, with the player also thought to be keen to remain at the club.

The Daily Mail claimed last month that Firmino was leaning towards remaining at Liverpool beyond this season. That is despite interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, who reportedly want to sign the striker to boost the country's profile ahead of a bid for the 2030 World Cup.
Many thought the arrival of Cody Gakpo may limit his chances of first team action. However, the 31-year-old's versatility means he can play at the tip of a midfield three in behind the striker.
Firmino is Liverpool's second-highest goalscorer in all competitions this season, with nine goals to his name. This is particularly remarkable considering he has been injured since December.

The Reds have hugely struggled in his absence, suffering back to back away defeats for the first time since 2012. His return to fitness should give the Reds a huge boost in attack, after scoring just twice in their last five matches.
And now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on his future.
Liverpool to offer Firmino 'short-term deal'
The Italian tweeted: "Jurgen Klopp wants to keep Roberto Firmino, talks are ongoing to extend his contract. Liverpool are offering a short-term deal to Brazilian striker."

The news comes just days after his agent revealed that contract extension talks were on the 'right track'.
Speaking to Sky Sports Germany, Roger Wittmann said: "It's a very long relationship between Roberto and Liverpool. Roberto feels good. At the moment, we're in a great exchange and in February we'll probably know where the journey is going.
"But Roberto also has to have a say in order to reach an agreement with Liverpool.
"We're on the right track. We're having really good talks with Liverpool. They're a superbly positioned club."
