Liverpool 'must have investigated' a deal for a deadly Arsenal duo according to former player Jamie Carragher.
Arsenal are on course for their first Premier League title in 19 years and this season have replaced Liverpool as Manchester City's closest challengers.
Mikel Arteta has built a team that most clubs would be envious of, similar to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp when he built a title -winning squad at Anfield.

It's a complete role reversal now with the Reds in transition and one of their former players Jamie Carragher believes that Klopp will be jealous of the players Arteta has at his disposal.
What did he say?
In his column for The Telegraph, he said that Klopp 'must wish half of Arteta’s team were in his starting XI'.
Carragher highlighted Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli and the 'lightening pace and penetration' they bring to Arsenal in a similar way that Mohamad Salah and Sadio Mane brought to Liverpool throughout their success.

Whilst they have no reason to leave North London now, Carragher said that Klopp 'must have investigated' a deal to bring the duo to Anfield when Arsenal's fortunes weren't great.
Whilst their form this season has been woeful at times, most Liverpool fans are confident that Klopp is the right person to take them back to the top.
How successful they are in signing new players this summer will be crucial to any future success, but it looks increasingly unlikely they will qualify for the Champions League which could make it difficult to attract top talent.
