Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told Paris Saint Germain to ‘dismantle’ the ‘Argentine Republic’ and expressed his desire to be the leader of the club.
According to UOL Esporte, there is growing tension between Mbappe and some of the big names within the PSG squad.
The report stated that Mbappe has been described as ‘pampered’ and ‘unbearable’ from members within the dressing room.

It is believed that Mbappe has asked club president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi to dismantle the ‘Argentine Republic’ at the club, which includes the likes of Lionel Messi, Angel di Maria, Mauro Icardi, Leandro Paredes, as well as Spaniard Ander Herrera and Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Whilst Messi’s status at the club is almost untouchable, others might soon find themselves out of the doors at the Parc des Princes. Di Maria has already gone to Juventus, whilst Icardi and Paredes are thought to be looking for a new club. Herrera and Navas are also said to be sold before the end of the summer transfer window.
The dismantling of the so called ‘Argentine Republic’ started when Mauricio Pochettino was sacked as manager, with reports that Mbappe had a say in the matter, with the Frenchman in favour of replacing Pochettino.

There were also claims that Mbappe was also in favour of Leonardo’s exit as director of football.
Mbappe reportedly wants to create a ‘new order’ at the Parisian club, similar to what followed after the departures of Thiago Silva and Daniel Alves. It is believed that Mbappe is bidding for a more ‘french’ dressing room after the arrival of Christophe Galtier as the new manager, plus the signings of defender Nordi Mukiele and striker Hugo Ekitike.
Whilst there are apparent frictions off the pitch, the on field issue were laid bare in PSG’s last match.

Mbappe missed a penalty but later on in the match PSG were awarded another spot kick.
Neymar took the ball and refused to hand it to Mbappe after the Frenchman asked to take it, luckily for the Brazilian he dispatched the kick to make it 2-0 to his team.
In addition to the penalty incident, Mbappe was captured throwing his arm in the air and walking away from a dangerous counter attack after team mate Vitinha didn’t pass him the ball.

The challenge for Galtier now seems to be trying to keep peace between the two stars in the dressing room. The expectations are higher than ever with PSG fans wanting the club to finally get their hands on the elusive Champions League trophy.
